It seems a bully has won

1 min read

On hearing the news that GARM was being closed down following the lawsuit by X, I was asked for my thoughts by Robin at Performance Marketing World.

All I can say is I felt hugely disappointed.

I grew up despising bullies and this felt like one of those occasions – hopefully rare – when they have won.

Many other esteemed commentators – from ISBA, the IPA, Mantis, PrimeAudience, and our client, Pipeline360 – gave eloquent and thoughtful responses.

On this occasion, I was a bit more passion – and Robin put it in the headline!

I was delighted to delete my Twitter (never calling it ‘x’) account and I must say, I’ve not missed it one bit.

Whether you work in media and advertising or not, I urge you to do the same – I think you’ll thank me for it.

As may society as a whole.
